Infection Control

Sterile Dental ToolsTo protect our clients and staff, we employ solid infection control utilizing universal precautions. Encompassing infection control benefits all parties present in the dental office — the patient, the doctor, and the entire dental team. Every patient needs to feel that the dentist and the dental team can be trusted to provide a clean, comfortable and quiet dental atmosphere. Patients are free to discuss any concerns they may have with Dr. Anderson and receive honest and direct answers.

Premier Dental Care along with the entire dental team establish their procedural operational guide by studying and employing procedures recommended by dental overseeing agencies such as: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Such measures may include, but are not limited to:

  • Thorough hand scrubbing with disinfectant hand soap
  • Utilizing non-Latex gloves and face masks
  • Chemical disinfection of nonporous counter tops and surfaces
  • Autoclaving (sterilizing) equipment before utilization
  • One-touch one-use disposable materials

With our in-house autoclave equipment, we sterilize all dental equipment (including dental hand pieces.) An autoclave uses high temperature, high pressure and steam to kill bacteria, viruses and their spores creating a sterile environment.

Current, complete and accurate information is certainly the best defense against disease. Armed with complete and accurate knowledge, you can be equipped to make the best decisions regarding your dental health care. We strive to create and communicate an atmosphere of trust and educate you about our daily procedures and policies, to create a comfortable partnership between you the patient and us the dental health care provider.
