The Results of Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are devices that bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. Your face is very important, and also maintaining the structure of your jaw, by keeping all of your teeth, and replacing the ones that are missing.

A dental bridge is a prosthesis, and usually created by two crowns- one on teeth that are located on either side of the gap. These two anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants.

Dental bridges can restore your smile, increase your ability to properly chew your food and speak. Bridges help maintain the shape of your face, and keep remaining teeth from moving out of their correct position. Teeth will shift, if there are gaps. Dental bridges also help distribute the forces as your bite.
